The role of a Governor General, as Head of State and the King’s representative, is to be neutral on political or sensitive issues. Ms Sam Mostyn, as Australia’s Governor General, is however, bending the rules to be the Patron of one of the country’s largest transgender advocacy groups – Equality Australia.
According to their website, Equality Australia is a national organisation dedicated to equality for LGBTIQ+ people.
“We combine legal, policy and communications expertise with thousands of supporters to ensure LGBTIQ+ people are treated with dignity and respect.”
There’s nothing about women – adult human females – being treated with dignity and respect.

Anna Brown (pictured below left), a lawyer, is the CEO of Equality Australia while on the Board is transgender male Teddy Cooke (pictured below right).

Teddy Cook is one of the leading transgender activists in Australia. His LinkedIn bio describes him as an “LGBTQ+ & trans health/rights aficionado, advisor, advocate, researcher, and health policy specialist.”
Teddy has no qualifications other than simply being transgender and a vocal proponent of gender ideology. CEO Anna Brown recently spoke in favour of Roxanne Tickle at Sall Grover’s (one of our first signatories) recent Appeal Trial. More info on that HERE.
For Australia’s Governor general to be involved in, and give active support to what can only be described as an activist organisation, seriously bends the role of Governor General. See more from The Australian HERE.
